A note from the president:

Thank you for visiting the Construction Club website! This 2012-13 school year, I hope that our club can provide students with many opportunities to network with industry professionals as well as get to know other students within the Construction Engineering and Management Program. That being said, I welcome students from any major across our campus who have an interest in construction to come and see what our club is all about.

This Fall, we plan on having monthly meetings, functions during the Fall Career Connection (such as our annual Evening with the Industry), construction site tours around Madison, and much more!

As usual, our biggest event of the year will be our annual Construction Club Banquet. For the first time in the club's history, the banquet will be held at the new Union South in Varsity Hall. Planning is already underway for this event and this year it will not be something to miss! I hope you plan to join us on Friday, April 19, 2012. This event will be free to any Construction Club member. Companies interested in attending can email cclub@cae.wisc.edu for more information.

What is Construction Club?

In 1997 the Construction Club was established to serve the needs of students in the Construction Engineering and Management program. The primary goal of the Construction Club is to foster contacts between UW engineering students and the design and construction industry. The Construction Club is an umbrella organization for student chapters of AGC (Associated General Contractors), NECA (The National Electrical Contractors Association), MCAA (The Mechanical Contractors Association of America) and CSI (The Construction Specifications Institute).

Want to join the fun?

Joining the Construction Club is not only beneficial to you, but also fun and easy! Come to one of our meetings or stop by our office (M1069) and pick up a registration form. When it is complete return it to one of our officers at a meeting or in our dropbox at the office with your payment. Membership for the 2012-2013 school year is $20. Once you are a paid member, you will be able to attend all club meetings and the Spring banquet free of charge.
